The main promoter of NNCMC is the New Nigeria Development Company Limited (NNDC). NNDC is a 67 year old development finance institution whose portfolio of investments spans various sectors including: - Solid Minerals, Consulting, Real Estate, Construction, Manpower Development, Hotel Management, IT and Telecommunications, Construction, Agriculture, Oil and Gas and Investments.
In particular, the company plays an active development finance role in the Northern States in particular and in Nigeria as a whole. Its shareholders comprise the nineteen (19) northern states of Nigeria. NNDC prides itself on being one of the leading conglomerates in Nigeria with a very proud heritage of positively impacting on the development of the northern region since inception.

Alhaji Bashir M Dalhatu is a prominent lawyer, businessman, politician and was a distinguished civil and public servant. Born in Dutse Jigawa State on November 12, 1949, he graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1972 with an LLB Degree and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1973. He was elected into the Constituent Assembly that fashioned the 1979 constitution where he played strategic roles. He was a founding member of the defunct National Party of Nigeria (NPN) where he was the Assistant National Legal Advisor. He was appointed in 1987 as a member of the Constitution Review Committee that produced the 1989 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The Walin Dutse also served in various public and private enterprises and institutions including: Chairman, Nigeria Agricultural & Cooperative Bank (NACB); Member, Board of Directors of the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA); Member, Governing Board of the Institute of Advance Legal Studies; Member, Judicial Service Committee of Kano State and also that of Jigawa State; Life Bencher of the Body of Benchers of the legal profession; Chairman, Highland Waters Nigeria Limited; and Chairman Jigawa Holdings Limited; Executive Director, Freedom Radio; and Member, Dutse Emirate Council amongst others.
Other public service appointments held by Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu include serving under three consecutive Heads of State, namely; Chief Ernest Shonekan GCFR, General Sani Abacha GCFR and General Abdulsalami Abubakar GCFR, holding positions of Secretary for Transport and Aviation, Minister of Power & Steel, and Minister of Internal Affairs. Alhaji Dalhatu has equally served as a member of the National Conference of 2014 as one of the Members representing Jigawa State.
Ahmed M Muhammed is the current Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the New Nigeria Development Company Limited (NNDC) since July 2013. A well trained finance, accounting, investment, management and tax professional possessing worldwide highly rated qualifications in these areas at fellowship levels, Mr. Ahmed has over two decades of solid working experience in both the public and private sectors. Before his appointment as Group Managing Director of NNDC, he was at various times a Manager, Assistant General manager, Deputy General manager, Executive Director in various departments within the NNDC.
Ahmed Muhammed has served as Commissioner for Commerce & Industry and also Commissioner for Works & Transport with the Bauchi State Government. He also performed commercial banking duties in his early career days with First Bank of Nigeria. He has served as Chairman or Member in over 23 corporate boards.
Ahmed is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA); Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA); Fellow, Chartered Institute of Management; and Fellow, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria; and Fellow, Institute of Management Consultants. He also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
A Certified and Chartered Accountant with more than twenty nine years post qualification experience. Mr. Ahmed has spent most of his working life in the private sector specializing in business set-ups and turnaround jobs. He trained with Akintola Williams and Co., Chartered Accountants, a Member Firm of Deloitte Touché International and was one of the founding partners of Ahmed Zakari & Co., Chartered Accountants. He is a Fellow of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA - 1995); and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA - 1990).
Mr. Ahmed served in Nigeria’s Public Sector as Special Adviser to the Governor of Bauchi State on Financial Matters (1999 – 2002), Commissioner of Budget & Planning, Bauchi State (2002 – 2006) and Secretary to the State Government of Bauchi State (2006 – 2007).
In August 2015, Mr. Ahmed completed his tour of duty as the first resident Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Qatar and was awarded the highest diplomatic honour of the 'Sash of Merit' by the State of Qatar.
Mr Ahmed was for many years a Director at Jaiz Bank PLC – the first full pledged non-interest bank in Nigeria. He also sits on the Board of Directors of Resourcery Plc, Engee PET Limited, and is Chairman of NOOR Takaful Plc and Kitskoo Cloud Services Limited. He was Adviser to the Federal Government of Nigeria Technical Committee on Alternative Finance (Sukuks) between 2011 and 2012.

Gambo Shuaibu holds a BSc Degree in Business Administration, Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management Controls amongst other qualifications. He is a distinguished banker, businessman and public servant with over 30 years relevant working experience.
Gambo Shuaibu is currently the Executive Director, representing Nigeria at the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, a position he has held since 2011. While in the Nigeria banking sector, he occupied various management and strategic positions as Executive Director, General Manager, Manager at Unity Bank PLC, First Interstate Bank PLC, ICON Limited (Merchant Bankers), and Intercity Bank PLC.
He was at one time a Commissioner in the Kano State Government responsible for the Ministry of Water Resources, Rural and Community Development (June 1997 - May 1999). Before being a Commissioner, he has held various management positions with the Kano State Investment and Properties Limited (a development finance and holding company).
Gambo Shuaibu has held many other appointments in the public and private sectors including being the Project Coordinator, Nigeria Meat and Associated Products LTD; Director, Cement Company of Nigeria, Director, Ceramic Manufacturers Limited, Director, Kapital Insurance Limited, Director, Kano State Oil and Allied Products Limited, Director, Nigeria Hotels Limited, Chairman, Northern Saw Mill & Furniture Manufacturing Company. He was Member of the Federal Government Ministerial Committee on Kano Business Revival Initiative, and Director FUG Pensions LTD among others.
Samaila Dalhat Zubairu is a certified and chartered accountant with over 26 years of professional and post qualification experience. Mr Samaila’s experience is solid in corporate finance, capital raising, mergers & acquisitions, privatization, risk management & controls, audit and consulting, tax planning and management, special situation audits and investigations. He is highly experienced in corporate transformation strategies resulting in market leadership and improved profitability, structuring alliances and joint ventures that integrate local investors to global markets.
Samaila Zubairu is identified as an emerging African leader by the Eisenhower Fellowships Institute Philadelphia, USA to participate in the 2006 multi nations program – an international leadership exchange program, which engages emerging leaders from around the world to enhance their professional capabilities, broaden their contacts, deepen perspectives and unite them in a diverse global network. The Fellowship focused on Leadership, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, Capital raising, Private Equity & Venture Capital, Mergers & Acquisitions, Competition & Anti- Trust, Monetary Policy, Fiscal Policy, Educational Endowments and Community relations & Social responsibility.
Mr. Zubairu is a Resource person and faculty for the Securities and Exchange Commission on packaging capital market issues. Recently with JP Morgan and several other investment banks on Infrastructure and equity capital markets in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa. Samaila Zubairu is a recipient of Reuters/SBA commendation medal for excellent performance in the 2000 Nigerian issuing house league.
Born in 1966 and married with two children, Mr. Zubairu has spent the greater years of his career building institutions, working in the private sectors and also engaging with the public sector as well. He has held key outstanding, executive leadership and management positions in various establishments. He has also served on various boards responsible for policy making and strategic directions for organizations growth. Some of the organizations where he served include Dangote Group as the Group’s Treasurer, Obajana Cement (Dangote Cement) as Executive Director/Chief finance Officer, and others; Muhtari Dangana & Co, Denham Management Limited, FSB International Bank PLC, Liberty Bank LTD, and Zubairu Eromosele & Co.
While in the banking and finance sectors with FSB International Bank PLC and Liberty Bank PLC, Mr Samaila was Manager Corporate Finance, Head of Investment Banking, Senior Relationship Manager and Group Head of Branches and Risk Management.
Samaila Dalhatu Zubairu is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Africapital Management Ltd – a corporate finance advisory firm focused on providing project development and capital raising solutions to the infrastructure, energy and industrial sectors. Mr Samaila is also the Co Founder of the West African Infrastructure Investment Managers and the Nigerian Infrastructure Investment Fund 1 with African Infrastructure Investment Managers Ltd (Old Mutual/Macquarie JV). He is responsible for leading the team of professionals in the origination and execution of project development initiatives for Greenfield and Brownfield power projects as well as capital raising, debt restructuring and general corporate advisory for Energy, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, FI and FMCG clients.
Samaila Zubairu is presently developing a 60MW power plant in Orile-Iganmu Lagos with a pipeline of several other distributed power initiatives on a negotiated willing buyer/seller basis. He coordinated the acquisition of Eko Electricity Distribution Plc and raised the finance.
Solomon Chikan holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering and Post Graduate Diploma from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and the Napier College Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom between 1982 and 1986. He is a registered member of the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and also a senior member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and other qualifications in entrepreneurship development and business management.
Eng. Solomon Chikan has over 35 years successful working experience in engineering, entrepreneurship and business management. He is a trainer and consultant with various public and private institutions and organizations where he served meritoriously with awards. Some of the organizations where he served include Jos Metropolitan Development Board, Plateau State Government and the University of Jos.
